A joint effort of five different organizations, SCENE MAKERS was an opportunity for creatives of all types to explore the history and expression of ballroom culture stretching from the original Battle of Versailles in 1973 to the present.

THE SHOW

The tagline "Rewrite The Rules" references the the fashion students' ability to pay homage to historical ballroom fashion, movement, and gender expression while also completely reimagining them for the modern age. 

THE LOGO

The SCENE MAKERS logo gives a title to those who are not afraid to "make a scene" while allowing the concept of the "scene" and those who "make it" to exist independently and not be defined by one another.

THE BRAND

Every aspect of the show was branded with this year's theme and logo, from the press releases to the gift bags handed out to each guest, to the stage itself.

We chose the typefaces that were used in all SCENE MAKERS branded material. Legibility and cohesion were our primary goals when selecting type families.

Collateral for the show also included backdrops such as the one below in front of which a series of speakers could introduce the event and share practical information without deviating from the overall look and feel.

THE VIBE

The show was concluded with a rolling credits video to celebrate the work of those involved.
